This limited expression contains whiskey from the first-ever cask distilled at the Shed Distillery in Leitrim on 21st December 2014 and has incredibly rich flavors of pot spice, dried fruits, and figgy pudding.

Midleton Very Rare Dair Ghaelach Knockrath Forest is the latest chapter of the Midleton Dair Ghaelach story. It takes us to the beautiful and ancient Vale of Clara, where the Knockrath estate lies hidden amidst the dramatic landscape of mountains and lakes.
This Single Pot Still Irish whiskey was matured initially in American Oak Bourbon barrels and finished in virgin native Irish Oak Hogshead casks grown on the Knockrath Estate.
Midleton Dair Ghaelach was the first whiskey in modern times to be matured in home-grown Irish oak, and the Knockrath Forest edition is the third of this the most Irish of whiskeys to be released.
Each whiskey in the series is as individual as it is irresistible; whiskey as satisfyingly Irish as it is undeniably elegant.
For this 3rd release in the series- the team have worked with Knockrath Estate in Co. Wicklow to sustainably harvest 7 Irish Oak trees. Each of which has matured selected Midleton Whiskies between 13 and 26 years old. These are single pot still whiskies, first matured in our traditional American Oak Bourbon Barrels before being transferred to this native Irish oak. Full set includes seven bottles Trees 1-7.
